Self-Care December

The idea for Self-Care December started as just my personal goals for the month. To be transparent, I am the WORST at prioritizing my own health and needs. While I am a productive and organized person and passionate about being there of my family and clients, I continually fall short of meeting my OWN goals. Realizing this, and knowing I did not want to start the new year feeling like a train wreck, I came up with a plan that would be doable for me. The more I thought about it, the more excited I was, and wanted to invite anyone else who might benefit from it to join me! This could make ALL the difference in how you charge into 2018, Imagine having some great self-care habits in place and maintaining your weight through the holidays.... this puts your start to a fresh year in a whole different place! The plan is pretty simple, here it is.

1. Prioritize Daily Exercise

One of my pitfalls is that I have such a history of exercising, I make it WAY too complicated! If I cant do everything I have in my head that I "should" do, I end up doing nothing. For this month, I am relieving myself of all my expectations and ideals, and doing SOMETHING every day. For example, this week I mapped out an pleasant 3 mile walk from my house. That is something I can definitely fall back on. When I go to the gym, its OK if I don't do a long workout, circuit weight training for 30 minutes totally reaches my goals. In summary, no expectations of what exercise should be, just do it every day. Its ALL good!

2. Take Supplements Properly

My head is in a thousand different places, and so is my supplement use! Supplements are a big part of how I feel, my energy levels, and important to my health, but my implementation of my personal plan tends of by a bit haphazard. For instance, I cannot remember to take my afternoon supplements. I am constantly asking others what words for them, and when my SIL told me an afternoon Spark is her cue to to take her afternoon supplements, this was just gold to me - problem solved! And I have a reason to enjoy and afternoon Spark, which is also helping my evenings be more productive! Win!

For Self Care December, whatever supplement plan you have in place for yourself, follow it with commitment!

3. Quiet Time BEFORE I unplug my phone from the Charger

Huh? You might be thinking... As I said, I started this for myself, and addressed the areas that I repeatedly fail myself, and this is one. Since I implemented this change - bingo! Done. I am starting my day with intention and with some quiet time in the Word, setting me up for success in all other areas. You can decide what this looks like for you.

So that's it. Not bad, right? Would this help you? If so, send me a message that you will be joining me. There is no formal check-in or have-tos. but I love the comradery of knowing we are doing it together.
